Does this little guy have Mange?

    There are a bunch of does and fawns that come into our bird feeders everyday this time of year. The other day, this little guy showed up with fresh wounds on both his ears. Now 5 days later his nose is losing hair as well...

    So what gives? Doesn't look like Mange photos I've seen. It's gotta hurt to lose your hair and sleep in -40* temps.

    What do you think is going on with this little guy?:confused::violin:

    Doesn't look like mange.

    Maybe this is a dumb question, but do deer get mange? Never heard of deer getting it, only fox, wolves and coyotes.

    I found some photos online of deer that people were calling mange. Might not be the exact same, but the results looked simial to what I've seen in yotes.

    This looks different to me though. I thought that maybe with all the snow on his head (the 1st day I saw it) that his skin had froze together or something. But no with his nose too, I'm not so sure.

    Maybe you need to make the hole bigger on your bird feeder?? :lmao:

    Frozen snow or ice clumps may have pulled the hair out.

    I have one missing the hair on the inside of his front legs........ don't know the cause.

    i got thinking about the question does this deer have Mange? after I replyed yesterday. I dont see why deer cant get Mange after all my brothers wife has it shes one ugly S.O.B.
