I recently pulled the cards on my cams and found this real skinny doe! This area has 100's of acres of food(Corn,Soybean,Mast trees,Berries etc.)and water sources everywhere. The county is a known CWD area that is why I am concerned with how she looks. I included a picture of a Turkey for size reference.

She looks pretty skinny... could be.

Here's a picture of a doe my buddy shot that tested positive for CWD

She was also super old, 10 or 11 if I remember correctly.

Wow she only made it to 10 or 11 with CWD. No wonder they want them all dead :busted:

Give her some time, hopefully she was wore down from having fawns, otherwise if you see her during season and she still looks beat then she very well might have it.

We had a buck at the farm that had wasted down to nothing. Fish and Wildlife told us to take it so it could be tested. Turns out it had an infected tooth that had spread to its jaw and it could not eat.

I'll post pic(s) of my CWD positive buck from '09 when I get home tonight mixed with a doe that was shot in the leg the previous season. The buck looked great, while that doe (which eventually died from natural causes or bobcat/coyote) looked like it was starving from that injury. I (unfortunately) hunt CWD counties in both IL and WI so I get every deer havested checked for the disease.

Here is a link to the buck that I got during the '09 season with a gun that tested positive. He had no visual appearances of being sick. Actually, just the opposite he ran all over the place chasing 2 does that morning until I finally was able to find a window thru the brush to take a shot. Never had this buck on trail camera though.
