If its legal its legal, depend on the way a guy wants to do it, theres people out there that believe that you should be able to bait,(uncle TED), im not against it, its not legal here in iowa otherwise i would, you stil have to beat there main senses, eyes ears and nose, those are the tough ones to overcome.

If this were true there would be a lot more "idiots" out there with giant deer on their walls.

People who rip on hunting whitetails over bait are usually the ones who have never tried it and really have no basis for their opinion. They assume that you toss out some minerals or some corn, put up a stand, and a monster buck shows up for you to shoot. That's not quite how it happens.

All that aside, congrats to the hunter. That's a stud of a buck right there.

When it boils down to judging the buck, the thing is absolutely hercules like! I mean I'd question what that thing has been eating (steroid enriched corn or soy beans?) before I'd question the style of harvest.

As for the harvest, I am personally not for hunting over baits...and to be honest I'm not sure I would if I could. Mineral licks to me aren't as bad as saying pouring molasses over corn...however the line is cloudy at best. However when it boils down to it, hunting is an individual sport...one must do the things that make them feel accomplished and happy with their hunt. If it's legal and the hunter is fine with it, I'm fine with it; it's when hunters start breaking the rules that I have absolutely no respect or mercy.
