The only real issue with all this happening about the lavoy thing. Is people are forgetting why this started. They are focusing to much on his death. There is a lot more at stake than one life. Ranchers are being pushed off there land by the hundreds here in the west. Look at the red river in Texas for instance. The BLM is continuing to expand the "protected land" around the river. And this is pushing out ranchers who have been there for generations. This is the same thing they do in Mexico.
The fbi was out here in crestline where I live a few days before Obama came to announce more "national monument area" and crestline being in the middle of national forest. This scared a lot of people that they might try and push us out. That is no way to live. To fear that the federal government at any time can make up a story and uproot your family and life.
It's a shame a man can't even feed his family these days by working his own land.. The gov just wants us to give them or land so we can line up in the welfare line.. My lands been my family's for many many years and that's where it'll stay
Well in general they occupied a federal building and he accelerated towards a road block and didn't comply with officers commands after that. Sounds to me like an excellent plan if you want to get shot and killed. The guy was an idiot no matter the cause.
You must be one of those Obama supporters that got offended by what I had to say so like I said in the beginning of my post if it offends you whatever.. The gov is a bunch of legalized thief's.. From a person who own and works his own property I totally support the 'idiot' if you don't like what I have to say by all means don't read it
Here is a hint if you hope to have any credibility don't accuse everyone who disagrees of being a supporter of your disliked politician. By accelerating at the road block and reaching for his gun how did that help the cause he was supporting? Take an objective look at the events and you may see some faults of those you are blindly following.
I'm all for minimized government, including the land that is under government control. Which is why I support Walkers plan in WI selling 10,000 acres of state owned land. But there is a right way, and a wrong way to go about standing up to government. They chose the wrong way and that choice ended up causing loss of life. And in the process made themselves look like whackjobs and undermined the cause they are supposedly fighting for.
From the video I watched he didn't accelerate toward the road block he swerved around it... I'll have my opinion and you have yours and that's fine obviously we are on different sides of the fence about it.. But sense you believe it was justified for them to attempt to kill everyone in the truck over him occupying a federal build then would it be justified if the Hammond or every other hard working farmer or rancher to kill the feds that show up and try to take our property.. I mean tit for tat right
So you will not accept that it was a possibility that the shot up truck and getting shot by the officers was avoidable? It was the drivers actions that caused the reaction by the officers. Did he think that he was going to just drive away avoid a roadblock ignore commands and he was going to be allowed to be on his way? The group is trying to do the right thing using the wrong tactics.
Yea. The hammonds are in prison again because the justice system has been corrupted. And they were charged again for the same crime. Didn't even have a trial. After watching the new video. I personally believe lavoy didn't do anything to help the cause. But that doesn't make the cause wrong. If the Feds take over the peoples land unjustly. They can expect people to get mad and retaliate. One small thing like wether or not the killing of lavoy was justified. Should not pull the people apart. We need to unite to defend ourselves from further injustice.
No. Shooting up the truck after killing lavoy was wrong. No two ways around that. Bus yes. The tactics could be better. But we weren't there, and we don't understand the high emotions going on at the time. That doesn't make what he did right, but it dosnt make him a evil person ether.
If you have a lease or grazing agreement it does not mean you own the land, does not matter how long the agreement has been in place. I am not a supporter of the Feds in this case but listening to misinformed people support a cause blindly makes me understand how litigation and court cases can be considered so unfair by some people.
Yea he should have done a few things different I will agree with that.. I mean so what are we just supposed to lay down and let the gov do as they please with what rightfully ours? I mean your more then welcome to but I refuse to.. So with that I totally support him and everyone else that won't have it..
I own the second largest cattle ranch in citrus county and its the bread and butter of my family and I will if need be fight for it.. Like I said I support you and everyone else that has a issues with what the legalized thief's are doing..
