Outside of the friends I've made on these boards, I really don't have that many friends that hunt. I know a good bit of people who hunt, but not many I'd really consider friends. Throw in a few extended family members, and really only a couple other friends that I know that hunt.
I agree but It's too much work for the majority of kids these days. Young people want things handed to them now unlike years ago. Different world today. It bothers me too and It's just not In the bowhunting world but In everything In life. Give me, give me, give me!! You read on here and other forums of parents or people saying make It fun and sugar coat It for them when It comes to bowhunting and hunting. Why sugar coat It for them? It Is what It Is!! Great post David. I always enjoy reading that story.
I'm 15. My older brothers got me into hunting and caleb definatly go me into bowhunting. Almost all my friends and even some girls I'm realy good friends with bowhunt I go with my bestfriend on public land hunting trips where we see the most deer and almost everyone i know hunts. or knows about it.
I have friends that hunt but only probably two of them, my closest friends, HUNT like most if us would define it here.
I have friends locally that bowhunt, but I dont bowhunt with them. Us locals all have our "own" places we hunt and we pretty much leave each others areas alone. I have friends all over the country and into Canada that I have traveled and hunted with and or I have had come out to hunt with me. But locals, nope. My bro comes up and hunts with me every season for about a week. I come here to visit with a lot of those out of state friends and just shoot the breeze about hunting in general.
I have friends and family that bowhunt. I joined this forum to waste time and make fun of Hooker for being a metrosexual hipster.
All my friends bow hunt. While we don't hunt together we are just a phone call away at recovery time :D
