Does changing your bow string change anything? POI etc....?

    Does it change any alignment, point of impact, draw weight etc...

    does everything remain the same as before?

    the bow needs to be set back up and tuned , unless your shooting a recurve

    It changed quite a bit on mine. My old string had stretched a lot. I actually just finished paper tuning and re-sighting my bow

    I just had new string and cables on my boetech sniper....I wondered the same thing but picked up my bow and it was dead nuts right where it was....strange??

    I doubt it was a coincidence. Someone must have known what they were doing.

    I'll be replacing the strings on my Admiral this weekend. Once installed, I'll check to make sure the bow is back to factory specs and try my best to install the d-loop and peep in the same exact spot as before. Doing this, I still expect adjustments to be made.

    I think your right....I'm not real handy with working on my own bow yet and the guys at my pro shop did it for me.....
    It was a pleasant surprise though!

    They did a good job for ya Dale , i try to do the same for each and everyone of my customers , i had a shop for afew years but got out of it , i still have some stragelers that that come to my house that insist i work on there bows.

    Mine changed a good bit but, I changed more than just the string. Rest, peep and string. I had to retune it and it seems to be faster than before.

    I was scared i was gonna have to re tune it. Damn.. if you remember from a previous post i have a click/creak when i draw back at the last inch , and of course i cant figure out where its coming from.
    Was gonna take it to Cabelas to have them look at it. i dont knkow of any good local archery shops around here.
    Im in Connecticut, so if anyone can recommend a good shop, please tell...

    Danbury. I did a google search and found what looks like a awesome shop called Hallsarrow in Manchester Ct.

    indoor range too.

    There is a good bow shop in Wappingers Fall, NY. 45 min. from Danbury. Its called Flying Arrrow
