Don't you bring football into this discussion. As long as the integrity of the game isn't altered! :D Cocaine? You leave the Texas Rangers alone!

I know what you meant, MGH. I just like giving hockey and baseball fans a hard time...since real athletes play basketball. :poke:

Unless you're watching a game live(and then it's questionable)... baseball is almost as boring as watching soccer. You want to talk baseball.... shake NYbowhunters tree. Call me when the world series starts.... then I'll watch a few games.LOL

There is like 5 minutes worth of actual game play in baseball.

In soccer, the game never stops but for halftime.

I am a huge baseball lover.. though have been rather absent from this season due to other distractions.

It was a HUGE joy to watch the NL beat the AL last night.. hasn't happened since I was like 16.. and I DESPISE the AL.

As far as soccer... c'mon its soccer. Being a fan of soccer is like saying you want to see the Eiffel Tower stab the Statue of Liberty if you ask me.

If my little girl wants to play it though.. I have no objections to that.:)

I love the game myself. Since the Mariners started in Seattle I have been a fan. Now living near Milwaukee I have began to be quite a fan of the Brewers as well. I listen to the games, read about them and will go to one nearly any day regardless of who is playing.

Baseball is the only sport I follow very much. I'm a die hard Cardinal fan, but watch any game that is on tv. The yankees do look like the team to beat, but I'd enjoy seeing the Rangers make it to the WS.

The NBA has serious officiating creditability issues. In my mind, that was a way bigger deal than steroids.

At least in baseball when the players step on the field the game I watch will be fair.

You must not be paying attention to the MLB this year. The terrible umpiring along with their huge egos has been one of the major stories of the first half. If it wasn't for some incredible pitching, it would be THE story of the first half.

C'mon guys, I know its easy to turn a blind eye to the sport you love, but baseball has historically had more drama than any other sport. Don't hate on other sports when baseball clearly has had a ton of issues.

It's a joke Howdy.. lighten' up!

If you understand the fundamental differences between the two leagues you'd get it.

Perhaps I should quote the hundreds of movies that also make this reference.:poke:

What sports channel have you been watching. Are you basing this off of one incident in which the a blown call ruined a perfect game. That umps huge ego brought him to tears on the field and an apology to the pitcher with a hand shake.

My braves are rolling right now, and we just traded that bum Escobar for Alex Gonzalez. Good year to be a brave. We have been to a few games this year as well.

Just got me 2 tickets to the Cubs vs. Cards next weekend in Wrigley. As much as I hate that place, I won't turn down $20 tickets to see the Cards put a thumping on the Cubs and all the Cubs fans yelling obscenities at all us Card fans.

The blown call on the perfect game was one incident, but nothing to do with egos. I'm referring to the quick trigger to eject players by a few umpires. You seriously missed this? It was the talk of baseball the first couple months, aside from some of the pitching performances.
