What the hell is wrong with you guys? You all started a 50 page thread about Lebron. Who gives a damn about Lebron or the NBA for that matter. The NBA is about as dead as U.S. soccer, but yet you all want to get in a pissing match about it.

For crying out loud. We are seeing one of the best years of baseball that most of us have seen in our lives and for others probably in the last 20 years. The reason I say that is because I finally feel that it is drug free. Has anyone noticed the dominance of pitching and several big name hitters can't hit a watermelon this year? But yet you all want to talk about basketball instead of America's pastime.

Anyone notice one of the best players that any of us have ever seen retired in early June. Ken Griffy Jr. ring a bell? I'm beginning to wonder if anyone here even likes baseball. Starting to think you guys enjoy bowhunting and cheerleading.

    What gives........?

I could care less about baseball.

Actually, I despise baseball. Always have since I was little. Just too much non action.

Soccer and basketball will always be greater than baseball in my mind.

I love baseball. I also love the Royals which had everybody on the good side of the state excited until we got swept by the Sox right before the All Star game. It brought us down a level. I see you're a Cardinal fan and therefore you are dead to me.

If I had to root for another team it would be the Twins. They have a great fan base and built up their farm system the right way. Don't get me wrong I want the Royals to destroy them everytime we play, it just seems like the Boys in Blue pee their pants against the Twinkies. Can't stand the Sox or Tigers in the division.

You should love the Tigers because they can't beat the Royals. If they only played each other, the Royals would probably finish 152-10.

Very true. Royals do seem to have the Tigers number here of late.

i spend way to much time outside actually doing stuff in the summer... for me, baseball doesn't get exciting until end of Aug or early Sept thru the WS... and by then Football is the main course and just as football wraps up hockey is in full swing approaching playoffs... that leaves my summer open for outdoor entertainment, i'll pick up a couple games with my kids but we don't watch on tv at all until the playoffs (as long as the white sox are in )...

I love baseball, but since we don't have cable, we only get to watch the Tigers when we go out.

    :sheep:
My sisters and I would enjoy all that grass

For the first year that I've been posting with you, I have to agree. A sad day for me. Very sad.

Hooker, if you were not recently engaged I would question your sexuality with the soccer comment.

This got me some strange looks in the office when I busted a gut laughing.

I'm ready for the second half for sure. Last night was a great All-Star game.
It just seems like everything is back on a level playing field this year. If you can't tell the steriod era is over then you don't pay attention to the game. Power numbers and average are at an all time low for the last 10 years and pitching is dominating.

NYB, if the Whitesox come out in the second half as hot as they were their last 30 games they might take the Yanks to game 5 in the ALCS. Ha ha!

I love baseball. By far my favorite sport, and played it through high school. I just don't really talk about sports much in general. I really don't watch many games, either, simply because I don't really like sitting down in front of the TV when I can be outside.

I'm a Red Sox fan, mediocre season at best right now. Sad part is in any other division, they would be 1 or 2.

Oh, and I fully agree with the basketball comments. Too much trash:D

I agree. Basketball needs a good steriod scandal where we have to question everyones' numbers from the last 15 years. That would really class up the league.

No sport is free of controversy, Vito. The personalities, egos, and lifestyles of the athletes are what I was referring to. Of course, that's just my opinion:cool:

I love baseball, and it has been a great year to watch, but real up and down for a ol Red Sox fan, we got a great team, but we are in the hardest division.... It personally made my year when Dallas Braden threw the perfect game though.

No...we can just talk about all the shootings, stabbings, rapes, cocaine use and "practice...you want to talk about practice?"

There was a point where the east had two above .600, two well above .500, and well, then there's Baltimore:D Simply the toughest division in baseball right now

Oh yeah, you take two of those teams to just about any other divison and they will be one or two, well besides Baltimore. Baltimore just better be glad they dont get paid by winning percentage, they would be broke....
