I took off my sight off today, and pulled out my old finger gloves and decided to take a few shots just for kicks. Well I did much better than I expected at 30 yards. now im thinking about ditching the sight, and release all together after i fill my deer and bear tag this year. I was shooting much quicker, and it was over all more enjoyable. less concentration. It is almost like the year i have been shooting compound with sights was like training wheels, and now going back to a more traditional approach has become much easier. Or maybe it is simply a case of it is a lot easier to shoot a bow that has a let-off  .

Does anyone here shoot a compound with fingers and no sight?

Unless you have a longer ata bow like you have, finger pinch is a real issue with most modern bows. I have tried it many times over the years. I'll stick to me release with a compound.

To shoot instinctive I find I am concentrating much harder. I shot trad for many many years before my back surgeries. Compounds are easier to shoot yes, but you really have to concentrate and burn a hole in your spot when not using a sight.

Yep. The Razortec is 33" ata. and im picking up my Bowtech Boss 36"ATA on the 28th of this month. and with the 33"ata it is long enough for a 2 finger hold. i do one over, and my middle finger just kinda rests on the string. but i could see there being issues with a 30"

I never found instinctive to take much more concentration because i dont obsess on getting that pin to not float on the target. it is a little more relaxing for me. but i will defiantly need to practice alot to be back at shooting 80 yards by this time next year if i stick with instinctive.
I shot trad for 5 years before switching to compound. but i never shot as much as i have in the last year

Not with my compounds, but ive been playing around with a 25# fibergalss recurve. Not even close to buying a hunting recurve yet, need a lot of practice. But, I reall am interested in it so i`ll keep at it. But until then, release and a 5 pin is the way to go for me!! Have fun brother!!!
