These stands are hyped up almost everywhere I read reviews, but I've only heard mention of them by a few people here. I have to say I like some of the features (primarily the reported interlocking quietness, as well as the grip to the tree). I do like that they're entireley manufactured in the U.S. I don't really see the cable system being too awfully quick compared to a LW (the pin system looks very similar to my API, and it can be noisey). Not sure I would be willing to shell out that money for an aluminum tube stand, when for a little more $ I could have a one piece LW. I'm not bashing them, nor am I saying LW is the end all be all (in fact, I have NO idea which direction I want to go for a lightweight climber this season), I'm just trying to gain as much insight to these things as possible. So, is there anyone here using one? What say you?
Doesn't look like much. Mine is not the aluminum but Ol'man has them too. I just want to give Matt a chance to try it, they are so simple, quiet and the most comfortable stand I've ever been in. That mesh seat is the bomb. I take regular naps in mine...LOL I love that. I'm actually surprise that Treewalker mimic the Ol'man so distinctly. As did Gorilla.
I was just curious. I looked into both a little this past year. A buddy of mine has an Ol'man and loves it. I think the Treewalker was a little cheaper, but looks the same according to the photos. Just wondering if you've tried one.
See my signature:D I hunt from one exclusivly (sp). As Rob said, the seat is as comfortable as any made to me, they do not flatten out along with your butt on long sits. I could go on about the stand becasue I absolutly love it. I would have a hard time imagining any climber attaching to a tree any faster. The stand sticks to the tree as well. Give em a look. Just noticed the sig is a derect link to sales and not the website, IT will have that fixed shortly. I suck, but I finally got the sig right.
