A huge doe for these parts is 130-135 dressed. I've gotten 2 that weighed in at that range, and maybe one more that would have been that big. I have heard people getting 150 lbs does, but I cannot confirm.
Average in the northern part of Virginia is about 70-75 lbs. Dressed. I would say 90-100 lbs. would be a big doe. Unless you go by the deer that live untouched in the Manassas battlefield. There are some monsters in there.
Where I live in East Tennesse...a good one is about 90lbs. dressed. I killed one this year that was 119 and it was a huge one for here.
a big doe here is 120+... I shot one 155lb a few years back in NY. my buddy got one 160 one year with us.
The biggest I have weighed was 139# here in ky. I've killed several since that were as big or bigger but not weighed. Know a guy that killed one in the 160's But the average is much smaller, I would guess in the 100# to 110# range.
My dad shot a doe with his rifle about 8-9 years ago in northern Wisconsin that dressed 158 lbs. It was unbelievably big. Don't see them like that much anymore Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
