When do you guys start putting out the pee? Do you wait until the rut is kicked in or do you start a little early in hopes of drawing a few frustrated bucks in? My initial thought is to wait another week or two. What do you guys do?
I use it shortly after I start seeing rubs and scrapes. If the bucks are getting worked up this may be the thing thats draws the first one in
I would start using it now. The pre rut is starting to kick in in the Mid-West and bucks are starting to cruise around.
That's kinda what Got me thinking about trying it now. I saw my first rub a week ago. I may pick some up next time I'm in town and give it a try. Who knows? It may work out. I don't think it will hurt anything.
regular doe urine or estrous urine? I've bee unsing regular pee the past few weeks, will switch to estrous in a few weeks.
I have been using doe pee since oct 1st. I plan on switching over to Estrus this weekend I will also bring the rattling horns to the woods as well. I will put do pee on scrapes/and or scent wicks. I only put estrus in wicks and I always take it back out of the woods with me. I don't want the scent to stay around to much if I am not there to benifit. I will also apply it to scrapes in November.
I use Doe Pee everytime I hunt. Gives the deer the impression that other deer are in the area. I put it on wick and hang it near a tree where I want to take my shot. I started using Estrus the end of last week.
