Doe Down! long(ish) read

    The doe didn't stink too bad until we threw her on the 4-wheeler and some waste came out. Once we got her field dressed and everything we checked out the meat to be sure it looked alright and it appeared to be ok with no smell. We also called the processor to see if they thought the meat would be any good or not and they said that as long as none of the wastes inside of the gut were inside of her when we field dressed her, then the meat should be alright. I think I got lucky with it though, as everything appears to be okay.

    I'm thinking that arrow had to have been deflected, or something to kill the energy of the arrow. Could have been a poor angle too.

    I'm guessing it was a poor angle when he took the shot. I saw the arrow sticking out of her and the angle at which it was sticking out and couldn't help but get mad because I could tell he took a stupid shot at her.

    Congrats on the doe. It amazes me how tough those animals are.
