Good read. Explains in a simplified way how ratios can come full circle even after one cycle/season. In the author's attempt to simplify the numbers side of the balancing act mother nature can play, are there are factors you feel contribute to the ratio that were not mentioned? Feel free to share your thoughts.

Read it the day it was posted and printed it out and added to my "good article" binders. Laid out great as always.

Yup, great article. The only thing I feel can alter the numbers is fawn recruitment. Although its proven that buck fawns slightly outnumber doe fawns at birth, the first fall at 6 months of age buck fawns are more active and larger than doe fawns leading to a higher kill during hunting season. The true recruitment of male vs female fawns at the one year mark I bet isn't skewed towards the male gender.
