I have two jackets that I should replace because they're too big but I don't plan on getting another camo one and I have a pair of shorts I sleep in. I should add that I don't wear my hunting clothes outside of season.
Shane I have Packer zubas for pajamas, that I wear when nobody is looking, so don't feel bad about the camo shorts.
I don't wear any of my hunting clothes for other activities. They are all stored in bins and will be pulled out for hunting season.
I only wear my camo for hunting. ..and fishing, feeding the livestock, horseback riding, hiking, trapping, riding the atv, and target shooting. I'll wear my camo coats about anywhere. I even wore my husband's camo coat to church yesterday. Lol. (That was sort of an accident. Had to brush snow off the truck and forgot I was wearing it... but camo goes with anything. Even a flowery skirt. )
My hunting clothes are for hunting, and only hunting. I do however own other camo clothing that is not for hunting. Seems that folks know you hunt and buy you gifts of camo clothing that are useless for hunting. Go figure.
My under armor scent control goes from my scent control bag to putting it on outside my vehicle before I walk to my stand and back in to the scent control bag before I get in my vehicle the only thing I wear for hunting outside of the trip in and out of the stand is my 4.0 base layer in late season. Everything else stays in the bag unless to wash.
I wear camo any chance I can, even though my wife wonders why most of the time. I am with Christine, that it does match anything
l seldom hunt in it much less wear it other places. Most of my hunts anymore are afternoon hunts and I would rather get to stand 5-10 minutes earlier in what I am already wearing rather than changing into something that has zero effect on my success as a hunter. Only when it's cold and I am layering do I use some of my old heavily insulated pants, shirts, and coats that I have owned for a long time from the days when I drank the camo kool-aid.
I didn't expect the responses that I just read. I guess, to the contrary, I wear what I want, whenever. That's not to say that I wear camo pants in public, (especially to Bass Pro, Cabelas, etc... as I believe that some [most] of them play dress up). But when I put on a pair of clothes, regardless what they are, I'm dressed for any occasion - whether it's going out, hunting, fishing or working...I am ready. It says something when my friends call my shoes, "all terrains."
Only wear hunting clothes while hunting. Don't really wear much camo outside of hunting besides the occasional ball cap.
I wear some of my camo clothing, rubber boots and pac boots when shed hunting and summer scouting ( not the pac boots for the latter ). My favorite hunting shirt gets worn pretty much year round for these activities and hunting. I am not worried about scent... I have a wash machine. Tim
