Possibly deer. But I completely disagree with you for many game animals. Go sit in an eastern turkey woods wearing blue jeans and a t shirt they will pick you off almost every time.
The disdain for people who wear camo is shocking. The Elitist attitudes, especially by the mods is astounding. I think they probably are more comfortable in pink than in camo.
I guess that depends on what you mean by in public. We have a hunting camp that I will wear a camo shirt to if I'm mowing, fishing, checking trail cams, etc. Working in the yard, sometimes I have on an old camo shirt. I don't wear camo out to dinner, shopping, to concerts etc.
Far from elitist, just stating a fact of life. Wearing camo in public is considered sloppy and people will look at you and judge you. As for the pink comment, I have no idea what that's supposed to even mean, Germ isn't a mod.
Lol I most certainly feel more comfortable in a pink shirt than camo in a public setting. One makes you look like a guy wearing a summer shirt, the other a hobo. This elitist thing is kinda nice actually!
Why? Wear what is appropriate for the occasion/event. I do not wear jeans to a wedding. I do not wear flip flops and shorts to work. I do not wear t-shirts to dinner. Why would I wear camouflage in the general public? My camo is for hunting purposes. And for all the people who freak out over scent control and whatnot, why would you want your camo to be flooded with the foreign scents of the mall?
Gotta ask the fashion police. Is it ok to wear a camo shirt to dinner if it has a collar? How about to a 3d shoot? What if it is half black with camo sleeves and a collar? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
Is this shirt acceptable in public? I really wouldn't want to be called a redneck.:D Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
I take it there is never an occasion that a camo, sleeveless shirt is ok. (Wifebeater shirt) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
Sure there is. When you're sitting on the front porch of your trailer, drinking beers, shooting at the empties, waiting for a deer and listening to Luke Bryan. Just don't miss and hit the MOPAR sticker on the back of the neighbors Neon.
3d shoots aren't what I considered public, that's a hunting event. Lol on that note, ill wear camo cutoffs and cargo shorts when out working. I just don't go to dinner and a movie in said clothes.
I laughed. What disdain? What elitism? The fact is, a lot of people will think of you as a bottom feeder if you run around town in camo. If that suits you, so be it. Some people just choose to stick with a little more polished look. To each his own. The question was asked. You don't have to like the answer. But it wont change the facts.
I don't wear much camo out unless it's a camo jacket or coat. Most of my camo is for hunting and not for anything else but have on occasion had camo I wear in public life. The shooter shirt I got from hoyt is only worn at 3d events but I would have no issue wearing it out nor would I judge someone else for wearing it. I am much more likely to wear camo to dinner than EVER wear a pair of toms. :D I wouldn't even know what they were if it weren't for a previous thread. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
The disdain I refer to is ," absolutely not", "um, No" and Dans comments for starters. If some of you are so insecure about what other people think of you than so be it. Your polished look is still bottom feeder to other people. I appreciate honest answers like everyone else, but I can do without the smug and condoscending answers.
I find the ones that get offended by the "smug" and "condoscending" answers to be the one's that might be a bit insecure with how they dress... If you truly didn't care what others thought, you would wear your camo cargo pants with pride.
If there is somewhere in life I need to get that I can't wear camo I don't "need" to go there. Camo cargos and camo hat every day to my dream job.. I pull off that slob look very well. Thank you !
