Do you think Saban will go to Texas?

Hooker, its almost as much fun watching you corn dogs fantasize over saban leaving as it is watching the potential meltdowns of bama nation and the Longhorns.

 

I know I say it all the time, but it sure does feel great to be hated as a fan base again. For a long time none of you showed how much you care!!!

 

Just for chits and giggles.....how long does it take for the greatest bama fan of all time, Mr. Harvey Updyke to kill BEVO if Saint Nick leaves!!!!!

 

Everything is about money.... Don't kid yourself. Maybe not the single reason but a hell of a good one for these guys.

Kirk Herbstreit is reporting Saban has agreed to a long term deal to stay at Bama.

 

He's not going anywhere and I don't want him to go anywhere. He is a great coach... he is great for Alabama and he is great for Auburn, even though he seems to enjoy neating us as much as we emjoy beating him.

 

It was fun while it lasted I guess. Speculation over.

 

Well now who does Texas go after? Seems Harbaugh is being brought up now

Ive heard this too. But why would a successful NFL coach go to a college team? I don't see this happening.

Well that was...anti-climatic.

I was so looking forward to trolling Bama fans for once.

It looks like the only trolling came from Saban and his agent.

 

I told you he had it too good in Bama to leave.

Nobody knew if he was going or staying. The rumor is that the Texas AD wanted to keep Mack in the program in some form, either as consultant or upper management, and Saban did not like that, and that is when things went south.

 

If Mack Brown isn't the HC next season I would have to think with the Texas job being as big as it is, they would have to go after a big name Coach, if anything programs like Tennessee, Florida have shown that lesser named coaches at big programs don't translate into keeping the program successful..... Time will tell

Hooker, I apologize on behalf of Saint Nick! Somewhere Les is chewing his cud crying.

I thought he was gone. Word is there is some new wording in the contract to get the power back that Mal was giving him...couple more zeros too.

 

I'd say this is most likely. Doesnt seem like to many of the people making the decisions want to get rid of him
