To answer the original question, I think the stigma is gone from it. Now I can relate to this.... I've heard similar from my family.
I met my wife online way back in 1999 when it the stigma was at it's peak. I would actually enjoy watch people's faces when we told them we met online, you could almost see them squirming. We will be celebrating our 10th year wedding anniversary next month.
It great .... just as long as I'm FIRST... oh wait... you said ONline.... I was thinking IN line. My bad.
I saw my wife for the first time in Anatomy and Physiology. It took a couple weeks though, as it was a big class...and I slept through it most mornings. But once I saw her...
The wife didn't like me too much the first time we met...which was in middle school in the 7th grade. She finally took a liking to me and we've basically been together ever since.
For whatever reason I took some weird class in sports science that was outside my major my senior year.....and she was in that class. I then somehow convinced/spanish flyed her to go to a formal dinner/dance thing and for months tricked her that the only room available in the hotel was the penthouse sweet with a king bed. hahahahaha! She was petrified until I finally told her I found a room with two double beds and that I had been tricking her. I still make fun of her to this day about those times and how guillable she was most days. What a dork.
If you can meet hunting buddies on line and get to become good friends and meet in real life, why not meet a significant other on lice as well?
LOL Not sure meeting one with lice is going to be a good thing . (I know it was a misprint but I couldn't resist.)
I think online dating could work out. I met my husband at a convenience store. He bought me an ice cream cone and I followed him home.
I met my wife playing online poker 5 years ago , i moved from North East Pa to Southern Indiana 5 years ago and have been Married for 4 years , so far so good plus there are way bigger deer in Indiana .......lol
