Do you retire an arrow when...

    Yes, I retire the arrow and the broadhead and mount it with the trophy. (Same with bullet shells and the bullet itself when I retrieve it).

    Personally,
    I think if you're using a different arrow with your mount instead of the one you used for the shot you shouldn't even bother... You'll know it's fake...

    None of the above myself, I just have mine trained well. LOL Or possibly it's because after 36 years.................my wife is a hunter herself and she enjoys the same things I do. Just saying........................................

    I break and lose too many arrows to retire any. :-)

    With a buck I do. For the record I have only killed 3 buck with a bow, and 2 of them the arrow broke. So I really only retired 1 and that was my first bow buck. I am not sure if I will continue to retire them of they don't break, but probably. As you said, to make it clear it was a bow buck. I was trying to think of another way to display the arrow, I don't like them on the rack. But for now that's where they are.
