Its the best way to run off a little spike that's hanging out under your stand. You never know if there is a shooter buck just out of sight that would hear you if you try and shoo off the little guy so piss on him instead.
I went on an out of state hunt last year. Within five minutes of peeing I had several does walk up underneath my stand exactly where I peed. Two of them I watched eating the leaves I just peed on. They covered everywhere I peed and then some. They were there for 20 to 25 minutes. Since then I’ve never worried about urinating from the stand.
I've never seen a deer alert from smelling piss. I've had many deer come check it out, they are curious animals. I used to worry about it but I don't anymore. It's not that often I have to go while on stand, but if I do, I let it rip.

I'm surprised there are still people carrying bottles to pee in. It's been pretty well proven over and over again that it doesn't matter. Like many others, I start my own scrapes this way all the time for trail camera purposes. I have hundreds of trail camera pictures proving that mature bucks are not afraid of it.
