Here's another question that was emailed into the site, and we wanted to see what everyone's opinion was. Do you have to use a peep? Do you personally use one? Why or why not?
I shot without a peep for years! Didn't even know what one was back then. Can't imagine ever shooting without one now
I use one as another point to check to make sure I'm aiming the same every time. Helps keep me consistant.
I never used a peep and never will. It is just something to go wrong and prevent the shot in low light. SRM
I started using a peep a couple years ago. I don't think it's necessary but I prefer to have one. It's like a little guideline telling me that I'm in the correct position in my anchor spot. Also I do use a kisser button. Now one of those I couldn't live without.
Use whatever is most comfortable for you too shoot. I use a peep because I believe it is the best way to be accurate and stay consistent.
You don't "need" one, but I feel they are very helpful. Some guys complain about seeing through them in low light, but I say if it's so dark you can't see through a peep you probably shouldn't be shooting anyway . I shot for years without one and obviously never use one on my trad bows. I feel they are very helpful to insure you anchor the same so your pin(s) are consistent. I will take a peep over a kisser any day for that reason.
Nope, haven't needed one in the past 28 years and don't believe I'll ever need one. I have 3 anchor points that keep me dead in line from any angle. Cant imagine why I would ever need a 4th.
