Do you make any compromises?

So I am new to self filming and was wondering what to look for when selecting a tree to hunt/film out of.

Is cover more important than being in a spot that you think you can kill a deer?

With more cover comes less angles and less footage, do I need clear openings to make sure I can get good footage?

What compromises, if any should I make to my normal hunting setup minus the camera?!?

    Thanks

The only compromise I make is finding a tree that works for two people - hunter & camera man. Often times I'll find a tree that's great but due to some issue whether it be crooked, limbs, etc it won't work with two people. That stinks.

When it comes to filming myself I don't limit myself at all. I'd rather be in the right tree to kill something even if it means sacrificing a little bit of pre-roll footage. So long as I can get the shot on film that's all that matters.

There are times when I need to compromise where I put my camera arm due to branches in the way, splits in the tree or other factors but I've learned to deal with them.
