Typical- 206 5/8" "The Jordan Buck" shot by Jim Jordan.

Non-Typical- 233 2/8" " The Decker Buck" shot by Bob Decker.

Just thought it would be interesting to see other state's typical and non typical record whitetails. Pics of the deer would be nice, I would post pics of these two bucks, but haven't mastered that yet so if someone would be willing that would be great. Thanks

John Breen Buck - "202" Minnesota typical state record (Rifle)

I realize there have been higher scoring bucks taken...but in my eyes this deer is as impessive looking as any I have seen including the Hanson Buck.

Mitch Vakoch Buck - "268 5/8" Minnesota non-typical state record (Rifle)

I was actually pondering this last night. I was thinking about how in childhood I wasn't into memorizing sports statistics. It was during that KGB commercial or whatever it is, the one where you text your question to 542542. That guy couldn't remember the 3rd basemen who played for ____ whenever. Then the guy comes out and says Bill Buckner.

I started to think, hunting is a sport. I wonder how many people know state records of who shot what deer and who held what record in what year? Anyone know of any sites that lists say previous 30 year record holders?

I may be mistaken but I thought that there was a gun kill non-typ from WI that scored in the 240's.

Hmmm, one is the world record non typical crossbow kill from Fulton County(should be officially measured at 304 6/8 if I'm not mistaken) and the other is the record typical by bow and reigning Pope and Young Typical record from Peoria County.:busted: We are sending you back to Alabama!!!

The difference between Ohio and the other big buck states further west... We do not produce near the number of big trophy class bucks say 150+ like they do. But Ohio throws it's hat in the ring with the best of them with true giants.

It really is kind of odd
