It is snowing here and I was going to go out this afternoon. Do deer move while the snow is still coming down?
It is lightly snowing right know in southwest Wisconsin and I am heading out around 1:00, I have found when it is lightly snowing they move real well plus its just a great time to be in the woods. Scoot
ok, guess I will be going out around 1 in SE Wisconsin. Public land so we shall see how it goes down today. Might actually bring my climber stand today and give that a whirl. Will be my first time hunting out of a stand with a bow... A little nervous lol.
Be careful. Wear good gloves. Metal gets cold when it's cold outside. And boots get slippery. Just be careful. I'm a bit jealous, I haven't had a chance to get back out since our season started again. I'm heading to a piano recital in an hour. I love my daughter, but she's becoming inconvenient.
I would be out there in a second. I can't kill a big buck from my lazy boy chair...cause I don't have a cup holder for my beer ;-)
I love hunting in the snow. The deer seem to move good around here during snow. The biggest buck I have killed in my home state recently came last year during our first big snow. I love it once you get a layer on the ground too since it makes it much easier to see the deer. Once the cold hit this year and the snow started falling, it seemed like deer were coming from everywhere. We went from being lucky to see a deer to seeing double digits almost every evening sit.
Heck yeah...we don't get much here in Tennessee...but love hunting in it. The deer here go nutz when it snows.
Agree with switch, I've had really good luck in the snow in the past. Just be sure to dry out all your gear (especially your bow) when you get home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The weather really doesn't bother the deer just the humans. I hunt when it pours rain snows like crazy anything I hunt.
