Things to watch for, anything you had issues with etc. Looking for that sort of stuff. You need to call one evening so we can discuss those emails you sent me.
I have never had a camper before in my life, but the wife grew up with one and has been trying to convince me to gor for it. From everything she tells me, it sounds like a lot of fun, but I'm still not convinced we would get our money's worth of use.
The good: 1. Tons of storage. You probably won't be able to pack enough crap to fill that thing up. I loved that. 2. Has 3 different areas to separate. Bunk Beds. Main area and the big bed area. 3. Gives you some really nice amenities in a compact package. But that causes #2 below. The bad: 1. The sink outside the bathroom sucked I thought. Sure the kids can wash their hands for dinner easy without using the kitchen sink but............ now you have to do all your hygiene sink stuff standing right there in the way. Plus if your kids get up to use the bathroom at night and they have to wash their hands it will wake everyone up being out in the open right next to the bunks. I thought I would of liked that feature but I hated it. 2. There isn't a lot of actual floor space to walk because it is taken up by the couch and dinette. So it tends to be crowded and you will end up stepping over each other all the time getting around because of the lack of room to walk. 3. I found it feeling weird sitting on the couch and not comfortable. Not a lot of counter space next to that sink. Make sure you get the plastic inserts for the sink so you have additional counter space when not using the sink. I did like the camper but it felt more cramped than my 24' when we had it. If you are going to be outside playing most of the time this is a real good choice.
Just giving you grief. Ok....... Maybe this weekend? I got a pretty busy week here yet. We had no issues. It served us well. The A\C being ducted in the roof was awesome as well. I really can't think of anything to watch for. Jayco builds good rigs. They had this stupid subwoofer thing for the surround sound under the couch. That was annoying with the deep sound if someone was watching a movie.
Thanks. Your last point was my main point for buying this style rather than the slides my wife liked (Only like $30 a month difference in payment). When we take it out I don't want anyone hanging out in the camper other than cooling down, getting cleaned up, eating and sleeping. That worked well in the last one and this one is bigger than the last was. We mostly go to kid friendly parks like Yogi Bears Jellystone and such, so there is a lot for the kids to do there.
My wife was known for this. Once sunset hit and skeeters came out she was inside the rest of the night. She likes to be outside during the day but she spent too much time inside in the evening.
The space is great for win it rains, and when we do two week trip in the summer we have a night where we send the kids in for a movie, while mom and dad sit by the fire. Buckeye lets do a camping trip this summer, fine a campground at the mid point.
always loved camping when I was a kid, my favorite so far was our 5th-Wheel. 35.5' Wilderness with 3 slides. Only problem is it weighed a ton, actually about 3 tons so we had to get a 350 dually to pull it efficiently. Tons of storage inside and out, 2 queen beds, full entertainment center in the rear with 2 lazy boys, washer+dryer(never used), kitchen, automatic slides and feet. Our trailer we have now is a 27' Hornet w/2 Bunks, 3 queen. Nice and cozy for a hunting camp trailer. I really enjoy the bunks when im out there with my dad because I can use the top bunk as my storage for the week ans everything is out of the way. Most travel trailers have a lot of storage but this thing literally has storage under every door and seat in the trailer.
I actually didn't end up completing the purchase on the camper I posted before. Cancelled it before financing went through. I got a better deal, around $700 less on this one. Same TT only black trim and awning rather than the white on the other. I got one I like better and saved some coin. Gary how far are you from C-bus? We want to hit that Yogi Bears up at some point this summer. About 3.5 hours or so for us. The one in Uniontown Ohio is great for the kids if you are ever over on this side of the state. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park? Camp-resort At Dogwood Valley in Mt Gilead, Oh
So, what are you going to pull it with....if your truck lives in the dealership? I kid I kid... That's a nice looking rig, last one I had was and 80 something scotty....it was when only 1 kid and it served it's purpose. I'll have another one in the future....not too near future, but sometime.
Every time my friends see a Scotty they snap a pic of the front where it says Scotty real big and text it to me. It's kid of funny. It'll be 7 weeks on Monday that they have had it. They gave me a 2015 as a loaner... It'll pull the camper! Really though, I told them I cannot take delivery until I get my truck back from service. They said no problem.
No Travel trailer but have a very nice older class C motor home... I stink at towing and backing trailers up..lol
Wow... Haven't talked to you in forever. Hope you, the boys and wife are doing well. No slide. Could have got the slide model for around $20 more per month but decided against it. We got by fine without a slide on the last one and it was smaller than this one by a few feet.
