Nope. I would rather eat my tag then hunt deer with a gun. I usually have plenty of meat in the freezer by rifle season. :)

Yep, I gun hunt...bow season closes here in MO during rifle season. However I still have my KS archery tags so I could bypass MO rifle and still bowhunt I guess but I won't do that. I have a Ruger all weather 30-06 and I love that rifle, shoots like a laser, saved up for three years to buy that rifle when I was 25 years old...no way am I going to hang it up and leave it cold. I have zero problems with using a rifle.

I do hate rifle season though and all the idiots out and about with rifles...really I'd just as soon rather they close gun seasons all together here. I get tired of the retards trespassing, spotlighting, yadda yadda yadda just because the ywant to "cheat" to slam a monster deer. People so often just SUCK...

yeah i hunt with shotgun. here in VA we hunt with dogs and our season opens up next saturday.

its an awesome time listening to the dogs get after it and its very hard not to get a little rush and excitement when they are getting louder and louder and getting closer. like many, i do enjoy bowhunting more and love every aspect of it.

i do not participate in our states muzzleloader season and bow hunt during those last few weeks before gun season. i have hunted with rifle before but that type of hunting isnt for me for a full season. i may take the rifle out and hunt away from home somewhere once every handful of years.

Well this is my first year bow hunting. It has always been rifle and muzzy for me. I know i will muzzy hunt just because i love muzzleloaders. Rifle i dont know. I might stick with the bow during rifle season. depends on where im hunting i guess. we have some larger food plots that are near impossible to cover with a bow and the trees surrounding them arent really big enough for a ladder stand.

I would love to hunt with a bow all year. But in this part of NY if you do not pick up a gun the first 5 days of the season then your going to be winging an arrow at a deer cruising at 20mph. I however do not own a muzzleloader because I like to go late season with my bow again.

I stick with bowhunting until I get a deer, this year I'm sticking with archery for two deer because of the deer hunting contest. I usually gun hunt the later parts of the season.

You can still hunt with your bow during gun season, you just have to use the rifle tag. That's how I bagged my buck last year.

I do some gun hunting, but I certainly don't have the passion for it that I do for bow hunting. I will be filming my wife trying to take her first deer this year during gun season, but I think I'm going to have a bit of a caveat on that. If one of my target bucks gets into bow range for our blind, I'm going to take him with the bow. We'll see how well that goes over :)

Only hunting opening day of firearm season this year with a gun because I have a bet with Preacher Tony and our pistols. :)

I voted no, I have gun hunted in about 7 seasons.

If I were in dire straights from a sustenance standpoint, though...I'll take the gun out.

It’s going to be a game time decision for me this season. We’ll have 4 guys at the cabin for opening weekend of firearms season again this year. I’m going to let my dad, bro-in-law, and nephew all pick their stands first (I’m 99.9% sure they will all be hunting with guns). Then, depending on the stands remaining and the wind, I’ll decide on using my bow or the old 1892. I know what stands the other guys like to gun hunt from so I’m pretty sure I’ll have a bow stand option no matter which direction the wind is blowing. I do really love shooting that old 1892 tho, just not as much as my bow.

This is true in MO. Don't let the fact that it's firearms season keep you from using your bow if you want to. Just make sure you have a firearms tag.

wooops you posted while i was typing. Have fun and be safe.

Haven't rifle hunted since I shot my first deer with a bow. After that I lost all interest. I usually still go with family & friends & help out when I can just because I enjoy hunting so much but I have no interest in shooting a deer with a "broomstick"!

Both. In MN I bowhunt through the rifle season. In WI I gun hunt, but will be bringing my bw with too :tu:

Nothing deadlier than a bowhunter with a rifle in his hands
