I don't plan on using a centerfire for a long time, but I do use a muzzleloader.

I gun hunt also, I enjoy picking up the gun for one week of the season, but the best thing about gun season isn't having a gun in my hands its being able to hang out with all the family and friends that come in to enjoy it.

Yep, I still gun hunt. I still enjoy it, depending on where I am. I have only gun hunted in PA one time though in the last 3 years, and that was to shoot a doe (didn't have any buck tags left). I was starting to get bored with gun hunting, until I started last year with hunting in the Adirondacks. It brought the fun and challenge back into it for me. It is far easier in my opinion for me to shoot a buck with a bow in PA or Southern Tier NY than it is in the Adirondacks with a gun, it's just a completely different ball game up there in the big woods.

I'll take a gun out here and there if one of my kids wants to tag along.

Rifle, shotgun, blackpowder, & bow. I bow hunt more than gun hunt but I still love gun hunting. I get a few bp hunts in every season, last year I hunted with my 30-30 once, and I get a few shotgun hunts in as well.

I live in VA and I know many don't like dog hunting but having hunted in some great camps here and being brought up aroundd it my whole life I have to say that it has been good to me. I have met some really stand up guys and see a lot of youth activity during this part of our season, not mention the camp comradery, so I tend to enjoy it a lot whe I do go (only 1 or 2 times last season). Nothing like a cold December morning where everything seems still and quiet then you here a beagle break the silence off in the distance and start heading your way. It gets my adrenalin pumping every time, hopefully the chase ends with the smell of burnt powder and another deer down, but more often than not they give you the slip somehow. No offense to those who don't like dog hunting.

No struggle here. I hunt with rifle, muzzleloader(inline and flintlock), shotgun and bow. I love the first day of rifle season and a well planned deer drive. NEW61375, i would love to hunt with dogs atleast once in my life, Sounds exciting.

If your ever in Southeast VA give me a shout. I have taken several people on their first dog hunt and it always turns out to be a blast and much different than they envisioned.

I haven't gun hunted the last 4 years. I really enjoy using the bow and don't foresee myself going back to gun hunting.

I do both. Archery season is the first to come where I live and then 1 week of black powder, then rifle. I usually bow hunt right on thru the black powder then start rifle hunting on the opening sat. I will usually bow hunt 5-6 more times during the rifle season.

I do on occasion. I prefer to bow hunt and take the gun hunt to relax and get a break before the late bow season begins.

Generally once a year, two of my best friends and I go to a place is SW Oklahoma that has a ridiculous amount of deer and we do what we call "the jerky hunt." All three of the does we kill with a rifle are used for jerky meat throughout the year (minus backstraps and loins). It's more of a tradition than anything, and it's pretty much a guarantee on 3 kills unless you run out of ammo first. We generally sit on a bluff and shoot at long ranges which is something that I really enjoy.

I hunt with bow, rifle, and ML. If they let me hunt with a spear I'd probably do that too. I enjoy the different types of hunts each weapon allows. BTW I don't think one weapon is better then any other, just different.
