Do you fletch your own arrows?....Do you have somebody else do it?.......Do you buy prefletched? Just wondering what all you guys do, i recently purchased a Grayling Fletching Jig and starting to fletch my own arrows.
I make my arrows from raw shaft to finished product. It's just one of the many things I enjoy about archery/bowhunting.
as you saw at the GTG, I fletch my own, but what you witnessed was my very first attempt... they turned out well but i need to work on my technique a little more... I'm using a bitzenburger jig with blazers, i'm gonna try the fusions once i'm out of blazers...
I think I've probably fletched a large portion of the arrows in use on this island now, literally thousands in the 14 years I've been doing it here. I've used those Grayling jigs before and wasn't too fond of them.
I just recently began fletching my own. I also plan to buy a saw after hunting season and do everything myself.
I just made my first attempt at it last week. I bought the new Blazer jig and did a dozen. I have to say it was very easy to do and actually kind of fun. The new Blazer jig puts the vanes at a perfect angle. I am excited about being part of the "do it myself " group! Mack3434
I like doing my own, it is just satasfying after doing a batch and sayin, i did that!!! I use the bitz for mine. I will try some of those shring fletch sometime that you dip in hot water,,,,the ones i won in the raffle at the G2G.
I havent ever fletched arrows before, but i really want to learn how. save some money and plus just another activity to do while im bored.
Yea i have heard that its not the best, but i was just looking for something cheap to start out with. In the furture i plan on buying a blitz.
Yep, I do all mine and a bunch of other people's as well. I like it... and I don't get in any boxing matches when I tell someone I want pink. :D
