I honestly have no idea. I believe its a naturally occurring cycle, but could it also be being accelerated by man? I don't know.

Well the question is if man is introducing too much and too fast that trees cannot absorb all the carbon dioxide.

While I agree with this graph, its pretty misleading. If the mean is 57 degrees, why is a .7 degree drop over twice the size of a 1.3 degree rise in temps on the graph? Does the creator have an agenda?

This is why its so hard to discern fact from fiction in this debate.

What a shocker. They miscalculated how much carbon there is and how much there will be.

These things always change as humans learn more. That is another reason you can't take the theories as the gospel.

Exactly. Look at the gulf spill. Didn't they tell us the Gulf of Mexico would be ruined for decades. It doesn't mean it is ok for accidents like that to occur. But it is not a reason to ban offshore drilling because it did

Or better yet, rent the 1976 version of King Kong. That's when Jimmy Carter was swept into office to "fix" the energy crisis then. The "evil" oil companies were causing the Earth to enter an "ice age". "Scientific" data showed glaciers would cover New York by the year 2000.

I remember as a kid watching President Carter do a speacial report on global cooling.
The left love to sit around and do nothing but find fault in what others are doing to create a divide between us and our dollars.

If you dig deep enough, you will find many of the same people that were screaming global cooling then are some of the same screaming global warming now.

    Follow the money trail:)

the poll needs to be changed. I think Global warming is a natural process, but, man can speed it up as it has IMO. Im sure someone has stated this in the past 3 pages.

    According to hook, nothing.

According to some scientists the fossil fuel carbon that has been stored in the ground for millions of years cannot be absorbed by plant life.

Then simply vote yes that humans are causing the earth to warm. It doesn't specify at what rate the humans are causing it.

It can only be debated. There is no definitive way to prove either side. I think the government finds ways for us to argue.

I get that, but why? Did this carbon change forms into something else over those millions of year? It wouldn't be carbon then, would it?

I just think plants want fresh carbon. They don't want that old stale carbon.
