I've been setting up along a ridge on some public ground, and the last couple of nights turkeys have been roosting almost right above me. Does all that noise and commotion scare the deer or are they pretty much used to it by now?
I would assume they are used to it. It's probably something that they see and hear on a normal basis.
It should have no affect on your deer population. They spend every night listening to that if your turkey population is high. They might take a look in that direction, but I've never seen one take off because of it.
Last week I shot two deer and both times it was evening and turkeys were roosting not 75 yards away. They feed in the field together all the time so they do not see each other as a threat, so roosting turkeys will not scare off deer.
I have not had any issues with roosting turkeys spooking the deer. We have enough turkeys in our area that they are pretty used to it.
Don't think so, I have had deer around my stand and hearing turkeys roosting at the same time , didnot disturbed the deer.
