Yes, they work great. I've used it while camping and hunting in the early season.

So maybe the state Bird here in Florida is becoming increasingly tolerant to this device.

I carry it with me every time, I believe it helps but I can literally see a black cloud circling me about 6 inches over my head and still some of them make an attempt to get me. Odorless, I don't really believe so.. I have even smelled them on certain instances so I know the deer an as well. However, I have seen deer walk out when I can smell them also, so?

Anyone have any other suggestions or things I can do, these things are literally 2-3inches long and it sounds like the Daytona 500 above my head the entire time I'm in the tree. Does the voodoo about smoking you're clothing help any?

Thermacell here too. I just picked up a new one. My older one's have worked very well for years, but the newer ones seem to light quicker and quieter.

I've used mine turkey hunting, bear hunting and deer hunting. I absolutely would not be without it during bug season.

I have one in my hunting pack and I always keep one in my truck. I was skeptical, but after one turkey hunt I knew that these things were legit.

As a fellow Florida hunter, I can agree with you. I have smelt the thermacell before but havent noticed the deer/hogs smell it. Also the thermacell doesn't rid the mosquito's here 100%, but it does help, I usually also cover myself head-to-toe in thick clothes and wear gloves and a mosquito mask to help. You have to get used to a mosquito constantly buzzing in your ear if you're wearing a mask. It is nearly impossible to get rid of them 100% here in FL.

I love mine. Use them camping all the time. Haven't had to use them much hunting but it is always in my bag.

Do the thermacells work for ticks too? We get them pretty bad out here and my my wife wants me to practically burn my clothes everytime I come back from hunting after she found one in our bedroom. Believe me, it wasn't good!

Permethrin! Treat your clothes and gear with it and your tick problem will be gone!

This stuff works wonders. Before I started using it I would come home full of ticks. Now it's a bad day if I find one on me or my gear.

Many hunters have questioned whether Thermacell's negatively affect deer and spook them. The simple answer is no. Deer can smell them but they do not spook. Check out this article for an in-depth explanation of how deer react to Thermacells, the best model and refills to buy for hunting, and tips for using them while hunting: whitetailpropertydesign.com/can-deer-smell-your-thermacell/
