Case in point; my girlfriend just shot two bucks side by side within minutes of one another. The first was shot through the top of the heart and died nearly instantly, the second suffered from a bit of excitement on the trigger and took a shot through the guts and another through the liver as it ran closer to us and a final shot through the lungs to put it down over a few minute period. It was an ugly death and an uglier job getting him butchered. The thing is, you can't tell the difference in the meat from either deer; they're both delicious.
