I've read that most things in a deer a life are related to length of day and hormones that are triggered. That being said, I am a strong believer that they can sense any and all human intrusion into there territory. Does this always matter??? Probably not. I've hunted working cattle ranches that see humans daily. Deer didn't seem to react to us driving around and being in the woods. I've hunted secluded farms that see no humans except hunting season. Deer movement would slow down considerably with our traffic even if we were only bow hunting.
