as i sit here jamming some disturbed "down with the sickness" and some godsmack thinking bout burning a cd for the hunting wagon i was wondering who jams in the hunting vehicle on the way to the stand to get pumped? man when i hop out the vehicle i'm jacked up focused on making it happen but real hyped. what do you jam on the way to the hunt? mudnation1 nobody wants to hear your deliverance cd ha-ha just kidding! but seriously! ha-ha
yo i know this prolly isnt ur type of music but if u look up tracy byrd---mossy oak song thats what i jam out to and a couple others ill make a list and post up
Usually do until the last few miles. I always check the flag at the fire station to get the wind and then start thinking of which stand to hunt. One song I will never forget that came across my XM on the way in last year, Fred Bear by the Nug.....nothing gets better than that !
Dances With Wolves soundtrack, Buffalo Hunt. DWW is a camp tradition, the theme track to our hunting camp.
shoot man i love country music, i like a lot of different music so post em and i'll add them to my play list
i like to jam out on the drive to the stand, having a good song in your head helps pass the hours by in the stand. acdc tops my list.
I have a CD I made that has Disturbed, SOAD, Collective Soul, NIN, Papa Roach, Live and Candlebox on it.
It takes me an hour drive to get to my stand and I never listen to anything that gets me pumped up. I save that for the weight room. I'm going out there to relax not to party so I like my music more mellow. I just flip through the stations until I find something suitable and If something real heavy comes on I change the station. My mind is usually racing through a variety of things like work, family, avoiding deer on the road, etc..to really listen to the music anyway.
Pretty close to what I was thinking, I also try and avoid having the same song, or line of a song stuck in my head for the next 3-5 hours...
When I'm heading to my spot I usually just listen to whatever is on in the rig. Try to stay away from my heavier stuff though, as I do not want to head bang a tree on the way to the stand Usually on my backcountry hunts i'll take my mp3 to listen to at night to take away the emotions of being alone. If I have a big hike the next day its usually a mix of inspirational/I wanna rip your head of songs, lol. Usually it's eminem, A7X, Bring Me the Horizon, Hatebreed, or Destruction of a Rose. When I'm at my destination I like relaxing songs, mostly country.
