So it being a slow year for roofing and given my agricultural background, I was thinking of offering a habitat service. I have all the equipment and have checked rates at the co-op for tractor work but was wondering if anyone here has any experience or pointers.
I always thought about having a side job like this, but all it does is take away from the days I’ll have to work on my own farm. I figure you would have to live in an area full of affluent hunters who don’t have time to do it themselves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well after putting the word out through a few friends and roofing customers I have 9 people wanting food plots for the fall. I am charging $80/hr from the time I hookup to the trailer until I return home. The farthest away is about an hour and a half. Seed and fertilizer is added cost. Plus, I am putting up a few Redneck blinds and feeders. It's a start!
I run CreekBottom Land Management in SE Wisconsin. There are some that go more on the consulting side of things, some that solely do installs, and those that dabble in both. I personally do both, but lean towards full property setup from consult to install.
