you're having a heckuva season, buddy. Nice deer!

    also a nice one.
I see you used a slug gun- just curious do you live in a shotgun only zone or just the tool you choose?

Just the tool I chose. Every deer that I shot with a shotgun as been within 20 yards so there is no reason for me to buy a muzzleloader. I’m gonna try and get permission from someone who hasn’t picked there beans yet it’s about a 6 acre field. Should be perfect for late season.

Sorry for being a ghost this season! I just got back from rifle hunting in WI. It was a bust. Had a little action up here before then, but only younger bucks. Just not sure where the big boys are this year?

The city hunt I'm in on is now open. There's muzzleloader hunter also for this first week, then its down to just 10 bowhunters. I'm might sneak out once over the weekend to scout a bit, but probably wont start hunting it hard until next week sometime. Hoping to pile up the does and perhaps find a buck to shoot.

If they finish my truck by Friday I may squeeze in a MI bowhunt or an Indiana .44 mag hunt. Seeing as I'm maxed out in the contest I'm leaning toward the .44 since I've never taken it in the woods yet but I figure the woods are probably going to be pressured hard.

had a lot of encounters over the weekend with the Orange Army but couldn't close the deal on a nice buck on Saturday and even though I saw over 30 deer within gun range on Sunday AM not one had any antlers.

I should be able to hunt on the last weekend of archery in MI (12/19-Jan 1)

Tonight was a good fun hunt. We tried to stalk up on 30 turkeys got within 70 yards. We ended up seeing two deer also.

Well fellas season has ended here in North Carolina can’t say it’s been a bad season killed my first 2 deer with a bow this year and bagged a nice 7 in rifle season, my girl wanted to actually try and kill her one this year after hunting all season last year so I went and picked her up her own rifle and she knocked down 2 nice does and a sweet 11. Going to pick her up a Hoyt vixen series compound here in a few weeks and get her to shooting a bow. Looking forward to deer season 2019 and hope to join up with yall again on a team. Thanks for allowing me to be apart and thanks for all the advice and pointers yall have given this beginner.
