Shot a nice 8 or 10 pt yesterday at around 4:15 PM here in Wisconsin. Nice blood and followed him quite a ways. Jumped him and blood in his bed. I decided to stop at the cornfield where he went in until morning. I am feeling pretty good about this but you know how sob a mature whitetail can be. This blood is after I jumped him and about 60 yards away before he went into the cornfield.

Crap happens, bro. At least you're seeing some. Only seen 2 little bucks and a few does with fawns in 4 days of hard hunting. No chasing at all. Not even little guys. I had bucks chasing 2nd-3rd week of October up here now none at all first week of November? never seen anything like it.
Sorry for not getting back with an update sooner. After 2 days of tracking I just couldn't catch up to him and I finally ran out of blood. Never seen anything like this in my hunting career. Buck just left a good blood trail all over the damn country. Well it sucks but sadly that's hunting.
posting on the score thread now but 53.5 on my first buck and 111 1/8 on my second. I know I actually jilted myself on the circumference on the second one but he only counts for 50 anyway so I didn't bother to re-measure before I dropped him off at the taxi today. So for 2018 I contributed 103.5
Hey, you get 4 mass measurements. Your final two will be the same on each side. Measure from csnterline of G2's to tip of main beam and get the measurement at the center mark. Even a spike gets 4 measurements(all the same)
by my count they haven't updated the card with my scores yet and Franki has yet to post his doe on the card. A rough score of 570 at this point. So we are actually doing pretty well- lots of does on the ground. I love it. Year after year teams that kill does (or second bucks) are the winners. If we can toss a couple big buck scores in the mix we are sitting very pretty. Only Turkish and I are currently maxed out. guys, bad news- after a lot of back and forth, Captains have agreed to enforce the 2 pics with bow and kill rule As such, unless #59 J_Carnley same pic just cropped #112 heartstopper same pic just cropped can come up with another pic of themselves with both their weapon AND kill; your entries will be DQd. So either do that or go out and kill another doe! I will give it till Monday before I PM Brad with the DQs.
