Awesome, meet in the freezer and another 50 on the board for the team. If she only made it 20 yards I'm guessing you like the new set up?

spent most of the day doing tree stand updates and mods. Changed out all the straps for customs ones from Ratchet Straps USA, did some paint work, did some versa-button mods, etc. 6 lock on stands total. I've had issues with most of my lock ons of various brands over the years. DId a lot of research and did some tinkering. Think all of them will lock in rock solid with no kicking out.
20-some degree drop this AM. Looks like one more warm stretch next week and then temps fall Thursday. Hopefully that's the end of it. These mosquitoes need to DIE
My boy got the video done of his first buck harvest hope you guys enjoy Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Been cool up north in IL but supposed to be hot tomorrow. I'll be in the stand in mid Michigan Friday AM.
Packing for MI tonight and tomorrow. Hitting the road after work on Thursday. Friday AM I'll be doing more of an observation sit where CRP meets hardwoods and a cornfield. The green dot in the center intersection. They bed like crazy in that section of briars/CRP. I plan on coming in from the NE, that section of hardwoods north of the stand location is pretty open and easy to slip through in the dark. The section of hardwoods NW of the stand is super thick re-growth from a clear cut. Killed one of my 2016 bucks as he chased a doe from the western CRP east into the briar section about 30 yards S of the selected stand location. Friday PM I'll be setting up in this guy's kitchen about a mile from that. Not sure if he made it through but there's always a couple of big ones back in this swamp. I had him on camera several times last year but almost always between 1-3AM. I am setting up about 150 yards closer to the area I believe him to be bedding and try to catch him getting a drink from the river before he goes on the prowl.
