Here is my target range that I made from some Lowes construction trash bags. For the targets at 80 yards I have a foam back stop. I don't know why it comes out sideways. It's not like that in my back yard. LOL
Construction debris bags from Lowes. I cut them and made them smaller and used hog rings to put it back together. it is full of clothes.
yes, They stop all my arrows and I am shooting 80#. You just need to pack the clothes really tight. I don't know how long they will last outside but for $10 each I am willing to replace them every year. I am gonna put them in my storage unit so they can last longer. My backstop just stays outside. I have had that backstop for years and still stops everything.
I already made 5 of them. I set them up at different yardages, this way I can shoot from my back porch and stay out of the sun while still able to shoot different distances.
Great re-use of a product, I may build a couple of these, as I was just considering replacing my old worn out Morrell Outdoor Range, these may be a MUCH cheaper option...
Its just $10 per bag. Other than free, you can get it much cheaper Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
The most challenging part was finding enough used clothing to fill all the targets? I was asking around at my work place like a homeless guy asking for used clothing. LOL. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
Goodwill in my area takes old clothes and turns them into rags for people to use in their garages, and sells them relatively cheap, that will likely be my source for the clothing, either that or wife's side of the closet...
how did you get the bags tied up after cutting it down, i made one with the lowes bag and clothes but its way too big Sent from my SM-G930P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Also, i filled mine with sheets from goodwill for like a dollar per sheet Sent from my SM-G930P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I unstitched one side end and cut the bag. I used the unstitched end and reattached it with hog rings so the sides end up being the front and the back. It ended up being about 12 inches thick. You could probably go about 8 or 10 inches and it will still work. Just pack the clothes in there really right. Cut the handles from the ends that you unstitch and cross them and reattach them so you still have a carrying handle.
Here is a picture of it from the top. The sides marked with red are now the front. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
