Finally finished this project, and wanted to post a few pics. Started with a farm running gear (got a great price on this one for $100), bolted a 4x4 frame to it and then 2x6 floor. And 3/4" plywood floor. Everything in this project was green treated except the studs for the walls. Did angled corner walls with bow windows on the front, and then sliding horizontal windows on the rest. All from Deerview. Windows were caulked and screwed on. Got a cheap door from the return section at Menards. Put a combo handle on it so I can lock it up. Roof was leftover tin I got for free, then used green ply on the sides also, with 2" of solid foam insulation, and just cheap 1/4 ply for the inside sheeting. I spray foamed every seam and crack. I also used flex seal spray on any surface that could collect water. I used rubber gym flooring for the floor and spray adhesive. Used the same spray adhesive to put up acoustic foam panels to dampen noise and gun shots as well during gun season. I had a lot of fun channeling my inner Bob Ross painting happy little trees on the outside. I think it turned out well, the view from the inside is awesome. I also put up magnetic window screens with blackout curtain for the back window. Pulls like a wet sponge on the highway, but moves easily in the field. My son had a lot of fun helping also!
I opened this thread fully expecting to see a redneck genius blind with it's own motor that could be driven from spot to spot. Ha ha. Much better idea to avoid the gas and oil fumes and put it on a trailer. Looks great and should work well to keep you warm and dry.
