For all you guys that make your own gravity feeders, do any of you have pictures of your set up? I am wanting to construct one out of 4" pvc possibly 5' tall. I was wanting to see some ideas on what works best for you guys before I build one!

Here is my PVC feeder behind the house. Pretty simple, just a "Y" with a drain cap on the bottom, 5' section of straight pvc and a cap.

My dads buddy made a "bump" feeder thats relatively simple as well.

How many lbs of corn you think it will hold?

I'm building dimensionally similar ones for the first time right now. I can post pics when complete. I don't have any experience with them. My biggest concern is keeping the feral hogs from destroying them.

My deal is, you can buyou the Moultrie feed station pro which holds 85 lbs for $49 ... by the time you do a DIY feeder is it worth the money and would you get less corn vs that of a DIY feeder

I asked myself the same question, but I don't trust that Moultrie feed station to the squirrels and raccoons. Plus, I can get two feeders out of the 10' PVC used for the DIY feeder.

4"or 6" ? Looks pretty good. You drill any holes in the bottom or did you find some sort of a drain?

4". I installed a floor drain in the bottom, right side up.

I used less than 5 rolls to make 2 feeders.

I used 4" PVC with a 90 and cap on the bottom, cut a section of the inside bend of the 90 for a feed opening, also a cap on top, drilled some holes in it for water drainage, spray boomed a plastic bag green and dabbed it n the pipe, repeated with brown and again with black. Deer had no problems with it.

I have one, have it hung with 1/16" cable. Can't keep the coons out of it, even though it is hung from a branch.
