Hey guys, I am looking to do a DIY elk hunt in montana with my dad and a friend...I am thinking of going to montana, but my biggest question is if we should apply as a group or individually? Also if there is any one willing to share a "General" area that is a good place to start looking, I am thinking farther east, northeast of yellowstone. Any tips would be appreciated, We will probably find a place to camp, so if you know any good places to stay share that with me please. Thanks!
I don't know Montana very well. I have a friend that lived up there for a few years I could ask him. I would put in as a group.
