There's not enough room to park everyone's POV, so they provide bus transportation for hourly employees and salaried employees can choose between the bus or a truck/van. Most salaried, myself include, take the second option to get a jump start on the day. Sent from my iPhone 4s using Tapatalk
That's cool.....hourly employes where I work aren't allowed to park inside the gates, we have to park in 2 lots outside the plants and walk through the scanners....and then walk a good ways, which isn't to bad it gives me exercise lol
used to be about 2 miles 1 way but we moved out of town. now it's about 20 miles 1 way. its not too bad though. traffic sucks but it isn't bad unless there is a wreck. then a 30 min commute turns in to hour or so easy.
26 miles one way. I like it since I have a motorcycle! Gives me a chance to ride some back roads. Funny how my 26 mile trip home usually ends up being about 40. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Right about 20 miles, but they are easy miles. I would take 20 miles across country over 5 miles across town.
I don't think I count either but will throw my commute in the mix. The job I just left, I would get on a plane and fly from PA to ND, work 4 weeks then return home for 2. My new position I will get in the truck and drive about 400 miles in Ohio, work 2 weeks then return 400 miles home for 2 weeks off.
My commute changes on a regular basis as we finish jobs and start new ones. Closest Ive been was about 10 miles farthest (when I wasn't living out of a suitcase) was about 60.
Same here. I am blessed to be able to work from home. Well actually I can work from anywhere really all I need is my laptop.
I've had commutes anywhere from 1 mile to 37 miles. Depending where I end up next spring it could be 1 mile to 60 miles (can't live on Indian Reservations so depending on my location, it can be quite the commute to the hospitals)...
