Busch Gardens in Tampa is also a very fun place :) We did Busch Gardens and Disney in the same year when we went (oh so long ago!).

What do you do at Busch Gardens? Is that like a 6 flags type place?

Personally, I didn't really enjoy Disney. There were just too many people and too much waiting, not just the rides but the lines to get into the park. After you park the car, you have to wait for the tram to take you to the "entrance". Once you get there, you have to decide whether you want to take the monorail (which will likely be broken down or not operating) or a ferry. Once you wait for and then squeeze onto one of those, then you will be slowly taken to the real entrance. Once you get off, you wait in line to show your ticket, which you MUST take note of because there are certain lines for certain types of tickets. Once you manage that, you may enter and begin waiting in line for the rides. Expect a short afternoon downpour just about every day, it's just how it is in that area.

Some of that is a bit of a joke/personal experience and not so much a reason not to go, besides the lines the kids should enjoy it. I would not go in July or August, the heat, mass bodies, and afternoon humidity after the typical downpour should be something to consider. Go in the late spring/early summer or in the fall.

It is an amusement park and zoo. They have many rides but many animals and various animal shows. Fun and educational.

I agree, I went to Busch Gardens as a kid and enjoyed it way more than any other amusement park.

I think last time we went to busch gardens we got a really good deal which i think they still do. I think you get the package of two days of busch gardens and seaworld and it was cheaper for both together then 1 day at disney and really was alittle more funner.

We went to universal 4 years ago. We flew out Christmas Day morning and went the park for 7am on December 26th when they opened...we thought they were closed because no one else was in line. We rode every ride 2 times ( including Harry potter rides) by 11am. Was starting to get busy by then. We then went to all the trashy wanna be/bob and earl attractions the next few days in Orlando. Had a Great time. Sucked not having a regular Christmas, but it's one out of how many? Best time to go hands down.

Totally serious. BUT it did definitely get super busy on the 27th and so on. The 26th was a ghost town till mid day. If we had to do it again we would do it the same way. Have a mission plan of attack on the park to hit certain attractions, then take a selfee with Mickey Mouse once you've conquered the park. A travel agent suggested those dates because I can't handle large crowds. Of course it's tough traveling on Christmas Day, especially with little ones, trying to catch an early morning flight, presents and such, plus the rest of the family.
    But it's worth it!!!
