disk on virgin ground?

    i have a 12 foot disk that goes behind my john deere 4400. would a disk work ok to break up virgin ground? or should i begin to fix the cultivator?

    What's ur "virgin" ground look like? If it's been mowed down close and has some moisture in it, you could take a stab at it. I like to get it worked up first though.

    I have had my best luck discing virgin ground about 3-4 weeks after a good shot of roundup. and like stated above with good ground moisture.
