Yes it will! We notice that a lot up north! They leave corn stand till late October mid November some years even later! It really puts a damper on seeing deer! I've talked to some farmers over the past few years and some are starting to leave corn standing till after WI gun season to just give the deer a fighting chance down here in SE WI! Now that they got rid of the earn a buck hopefully it will end the massacre of all our doe's! Sent from my arrow using Mathews!
A buddy of mine has absolutely great hunting land and manages it for himself (500 acres). He has thickets that you would love to hunt, great woods, and crop food plots of all kinds. He plants 10 acres of corn just for the deer and never cuts it. The deer choose to pile into the corn over all other areas on his land. He was planting only 5 acres but found that they liked it so much that he now plants 10. Cutting the silage will definitely move them to your land. Awesome!
I wouldn't worry too much, bucks are prob hangin elsewhere, they will be around after the does and once crops get harvested. You'll be fine. At least you have does and fawns on the property. Good luck!
This time of year I wouldn't worry at all about the bucks being gone for good. If your place is all in corn I'd bet they are hanging out at the nearest bean field and bedding nearby. Once the beans change over and get harvested they will be heading to the nearest cornfield near you!
We have about 90 acres of beans of beans on this track but it's all close to the road also have a 2 acres soybean food plot that doesn't seem to be getting much action Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
