Since July the number of deer walking near my camera is fewer and fewer. Then these past two weeks nothing. Should I be worried that they have left the area? Next week I think I'm moving the camera to another hunting spot.

They are changing patterns in my opinion shedding of the velvet is coming very soon.

I look forward to checking cams on Sunday and relocating a couple to oaks and persimmons My guess my water sets will still be OK

What part of the country are you in? I've seen some early movement lately you will see a return of activity towards mid to late Oct usually in my experience.

I don't know. I had many nice bucks when I checked cams today and they had been out since July 30th. Hopefully your deer will resume their earlier patterns for you.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

I moved one between mature oaks last week and am checking Saturday. It looked to me like they were hammering acorns. Central Illinois.

There is also the possibility that the heat is causing them to lay low.. I know it happens a lot down here in LA

I've not seen anything over 100" since I put my cams out in May!! Same farm I took a 170" off of last year and also had two more that would go 150's that I've not seen since December of last year. I'm worried they got poached but others tell me not to worry.

Over pressured. I only check my camera once very 5-6 weeks. I put mineral out april-may, place cameras in early june and don't change cards and batteries till first week of September.

I would agree. I have spots that I would consider being over pressured if you walked in them twice in six months.

I have spots when once a week is fine.

More than likely if you are just covering trails and not a mineral site is that the deer are on a different feed pattern that doesn't bring them by your cam right now... Just a guess...
