Checking in...should be a fun deer season for me...just planted my plots in Oklahoma today...gonna be hunting in Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma...
Jleger what's your season starting to look like? Any good bucks you know of? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This year is *** backwards for Tc pics, had 5 years of big bucks on cam, this year nothing over 140,I normally have got pics of at least 2 of my top 5 bucks as of now. Zero ,zilch not'ta good one yet, maybe it'll be a switch around, maybe the big bucks will show up during the rutt instead of leaving. Property owner said the other day he went out back where I hunt since last year and saw 5 Moose including 2 calfs in one walk. Could be the moose kicked some *** and the deer left!!!! I doubt it though, just a thought, they'll be back. Dang archery lane was closed today so I'll have to wait another day to order for my new limbs. Hopefully they don't take too long to come in. Anyone have a guess how long it'll take to get them? Rocky
If everybody shot a 140 plus 50 for a doe, we would be unstoppable! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This will be my first year in the Deer Contest. I was in the Turkey Contest this spring and I was a long time lurker before I participated in the forums. I usually hunt my cousins farm but it just doesn't hold any deer. They pass through but don't stay. I've always rifle hunted but I picked up a bow 4 or 5 years ago and was hooked. Guns just don't have the same thrill. I have a few spots with a lot of possibilities but nothing on camera yet. It's all public ground and I have reluctant to hang cameras but will probably with a couple this weekend. The property is river bottom and kind of tough to get to. I've only ever seen one stand in the bottom and it was only half way back. It has a lot of potential but it's going to take some work. I live on the east side of the state but I grew up out in the Black Hills. My uncle keeps telling me about a buck he has had on his cameras but I haven't seen any pictures yet. There have been a couple of good ones running around the last couple years, not corn fed monsters, but good ones. I tuned my broadheads yesterday and I am pretty happy with how they are shooting. I switched to Exodus heads this year after shooting Killzones.
Work for me will finally be going back to normal starting next Monday so I will get lots of time at the farm! Gotta get out and check cameras and start a few mock scrapes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So we are down to 3 that haven't checked in? I hunt southern Illinois.. I have 35ish acres here at my house and around 160 down the road at my dads. I dont hang cams mostly because 80 of the 160 over at my dads is the neighbors and Im sure I could but I dont like hanging cams or leaving stands on their property. I do however know that their was at least 4 really nice bucks that most likely made it threw last year and any bucks that made it should be in my bottom over there (Im the only one that bow hunts it). The bucks that I seen last year were really nice and should be darn big this year. So I should have a chance at a really decent buck if it all pans out and I dont get the shakes and shoot one in the shoulder like I did the super wide buck last year (my profile pic)

I will give the missing 3 a few more days and if we haven't heard from them by then I will send them each a pm.
Kill Zone, Pig Stickers, String Assassins, Tall Tines... Im newish to the forums and contest so I dont know what are super common names.. Just thought I would toss a few more out and see if any sound good.
Well keep the ideas coming and soon as our missing few arrive we can try to vote and hopefully all agree on a name! Then we will have to decide a captain.
