I skipped this morning. I've hunted a lot so far and my batteries needed recharging. I've had 21 sits so far and right at 85 hours on stand. Working until 11 tonight and go in at noon tomorrow. I may go sit until about 10:30 in the morning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well O's Again Got my blind set up and man I love the spot, 15 yards from a fresh scrape, 35 yards across before it opens into a feild. Like a pinch point. Better yet I love the blind I can actually shoot standing up and windows, there's a ton, water proof lots of room in it I put in a patio high back chair,HAHAHA Comfort and the veiw from it is awesome. Can't wait to try it out! I then sat in my other blind and saw squat, from 2pm to 6:40 Dark. I'll be back out Monday,good luck team! Rocky

Matt Were turning the corner to the post rutt, the rutt up here starts the week of November 15, I find the best time for the big deer is the 1st week of December. My best buck of all mine was taken Dec 3rd and scored 192 6/8 1997, It's the start of the 2nd rutt and the mature bucks are the ones doing the breeding, the smaller bucks are all beat up from the 1st rutt. For mature deer there is a ton of them here ,they die of old age here it's the world renoune Edmonton Bow Zone! Plus I haven't even seen a mature buck yet, best one is maybe 140 5x4! So no I'm not worried! Rocky

Hunted the last three nights and saw 9 small bucks cruising. Dang does never give me a shot- Saw 8 over the last 3 days. You would think one would give me a shot! From what I'm seeeing here its going to bust wide open this weekend... :-)

Was able to get out last night. No sooner then I got in my stand the farmer showed up to start picking the beans from the field about 30 yards off my stand. Did manage to see 1 doe 2 minutes after he went in but she busted me the second she stepped into the clearing. No clue how she picked me off so quickly but the wind seemed to be swirling a bit so I am guessing she winded me. She was at 43 yards but if she gave me the shot I would have taken her I had a perfect shot at her but never given a chance. Back at it in a few days!
Back out this evening. These warm temps are killing me. It was 58 this morning and this time last week it was 30. Good news is the temp has only climbed to 61, I have a good wind, cloudy/overcast and an off and on drizzle. Be Back At Er In The Aft Dropping the wife of at a pick up point and she's gone for 3 days. She's going hiking in the mountains with her cousins. Cool of starting tomorrow dropping from 18 c To -4C for the 3 days, should get something on it's feet. Good luck guys! Rocky
Calm down boys... Ill find time to deer hunt too! Really I had no idea how that sounded when I typed it until ferg said something! Im glad you guys got a chuckle out of it, I only wish it was a planed chuckle! My wife said "ohh god.. dont you read stuff before you post it!?"
