    Tomorrow Morning Hunt
I'd a gone today but I forgot my Jays have one more chance at winning a spot in the final four, so I'll be out in the morning, good luck to those hunting today.

    Congrats Matt!

Hey guys. Haven't posted much but always following along. Have been too busy with work and trying to sell our house to make it out yet  Going to make it out tomorrow though. I was going for the "not too much pressure" thing I guess :)

Great morning in the tree.. was absolutely beautiful out! I seen 9 deer, 5 of them were bucks. Two spikes one fork and two 8 points. One of them was a decent 8 point he didnt have a lot of mass or vry tall tines.. but he was wide. Ill be back in a tree this eve.

Got settled in tonight and had a stair down with a ten point at 50 yards.. he won.

Had two does feed by and just couldn't get a shot. I drew on them 3 times... :-)

    Wasn't going to happen!

I was just giving you a hard time. Actually I was wondering how I was going to take my pictures when the time comes. I'm a pretty good sized guy, extra medium husky, everything looks little by me. ;)

Get a camera with a timer and good flash with a sturdy tripod, set it up and punch in 20 seconds and run and get in the veiwfinder, take another from a different angle and you will be good! It worked! the thing about giving me a hard time LOL. I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings! I guess anyone could take it the wrong way.

No she wasn't a fawn. I think she was a fawn last year and didn't get bred. She was all by herself which was the odd part.

You have to remember this is Tennessee, not moose country. She's about the average size doe, maybe a tick smaller. She was in the 60-65lb dressed range and a fawn here right now would be in the 30-35 lb range lol

I've killed a bunch of deer here and the largest doe I've ever killed was 88lbs and the largest but was 150lbs. Just to give you an idea.

Should have made it look like you were doing chinups LOL. That's a mighty fine buck! Had a great morning today cept I didn't get a shot off. Had 6 does with in 5 yards of me and they stayed on the other side of the willows. Pissed me off, then a yote showed up with an awesome looking hide. He scented me and took off with his tail between his legs,LOL. Sure nice with all the leaves of now, you can hear them from 100 yards away! Only trouble with that is, every mouse and squirrel sound alike. On the alert all the time.LOL . Got a sore neck from trying to see behind the tree I was in. I should start being able to sit 1/2 days now till mid December! Season ends Dec 5th.

    Did Something Stupid Yesterday
Broke my cardinal sin yesterday of huntiing. Everyone knows I get around with a crutch ,well yesterday I got up in my stand and it has a bit of a lean to it also cause of the tree leaning. Well with that much of a lean I was wanting to put my safety strap on pretty fast. I reach in to my leg pocket and it's not there! I ended up sitting for a 4 hour sit with out one, I couldn't believe I did that , I would never had made it to and back from the truck with my leg being as bad as it is! Still no reason for doing what I did. Hope no one else does this. Your life is worth the safety and your families.

I went out with Mom tonight to one of our favorite spots. We had 2 does and 2 fawns. I had a 15 yard shot at one fawn but I was afraid Rocky would make fun of me. ;) It was so still and swirling that the does sensed something wasn't right and were really edgy. They sniffed and looked for about 10 minutes and then wandered on never giving me a good shot.
